Matthias Rex 1458—1490. Hungary at the Dawn of the Renaissance

Proceedings of the International Conference, May 20-25, 2008. Budapest

The Faculty of Humanities, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, organized an international colloquium, titled Matthias Rex 1458-1490: Hungary at the Dawn of the Renaissance from 20th to 25th , May 2008. Since most of the lecturers were not performing on their own mother tongue, the scripts should have been read by native speakers, in order to publish the colloquium. It was impossible to finance this task for many years. The students of the Renaissance Studies MA department have decided—with the consent of the editorial board—to publish the papers in an online volume first, before being proofread by native speakers; in order to let the academic public meet these contents.
